GMP CE Stainless Steel Dynamic Transfer Window Static Pass Box

Standard Operating Procedure for Operation, Cleaning, and Qualification of Dynamic Pass Box used in the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

Dynamic Pass Box used for the transfer of material from one area to another in isolation by means of mechanical/electromagnetic door interlocking process that ensures opening of only one door at a time.

This process helps in avoiding cross-contamination between two areas.

All the sizes can be customized.

There Three Types Pass Box:

Static Pass Boxes


These type of boxes are used to transfer material between 2 clean environments with little or no human intervention.

This box contains an electromagnetic interlock between the 2 doors and from a visual control point of view, an LED light suggests when any door is open.

Pass box Features:

Mechanical interlock is reliable, maintenance-free, fail safe and maintains cleanroom integrity by preventing both doors from being opened at the same time.

The main body of the pass box is constructed of industrial-grade electrogalvanized steel.


The pass box base surface is constructed of stainless steel, making the work zone easy to clean.


Acrylic doors provide a clear view of the internal chamber.

Dynamic pass boxes

This type of box is used to pass material from a non-controlled environment to a controlled environment.

Two interlocking doors on both sizes protect the controlled environment when any transfer takes place.

Depending on the application, dynamic pass box designs can be single door or double door (as shown to the right).

Dynamic Pass box Features:

Complete electronic interlock system and EASY LIGHT programmable timer.


High-efficiency HEPA FILTER H14 fluid seal, easy to remove and change from below – RSC (room side change)


Stainless steel perforated grille on the support surface, easily removed for cleaning;


No. 2 UV/C type germicide lamps inserted in the top section of the Pass-Box;


Centrifugal backward curved radial fan with directly coupled inverter motor: power supply 230V, 50/60 Hz

Operational tests of Dynamic Passbox Qualification:

The following tests are performed during qualification and results are within acceptance criteria.
PAO/DOP testing (integrity testing) of the HEPA filter.
Particle count test
Air velocity test.
PAO/DOP Test ( filter integrity testing):
Feed the PAO (Poly Alfa Olefin)/DOP Aerosol at the suction of blower.
Measure the upstream concentration of PAO/DOP as a 100% concentration.
Do the scanning after HEPA filter.
Acceptance criteria: The penetration level should be less than 0.01%.
Particle count test:
Ensure that particle count of the work station is done by using a calibrated airborne particulate matter counter.
Ensure that the sampling station is cleaned.
Run the blower at least 1 hour before taking the particle count.
Take the samples at 5 different locations.
Acceptance criteria: Particle count of size 0.5 micron and large should not be more than 100 particles per cubic feet & 5 micron and large should not be more than 0 particles per cubic feet
